I am what people usually refer to as a photographer. It sounds ambitious. I just like photography, really.
Who has never dreamed of using his eye and mind as an always ready camera? This attraction to images, because of their composition, light, colors or subject, is what keeps me taking pictures. I enjoy the experience of taking pictures, switching my mind completely toward this goal, and seeing things differently, no so much the sorting, processing, retouching... Defects, mistakes and other 'bugs' happening in the process are quite welcomed, and that's probably why I also do film photography.
As a child, I was rather reserved, and still I enjoy more listening than talking. It is just like that when I am traveling: it feels lonely out of one's boundaries, so I listen. Pictures usually tell a lot, and those I bring back try to substitute to what I could have said. Sometimes they tell completely different things, but thatʼs OK. That they are, is what matters.
